The ability to use data effectively has become one of the biggest advantages a business can have. Yet for many SMEs, data still feels complicated, expensive, and out of reach.
Too often it is associated with confusing jargon, over-engineered platforms, and consultancy projects that produce impressive dashboards but little real change.
DataSeed was created to change that.
We believe that the ability to understand and act on business data should not be reserved for global technology companies. It should be accessible to every ambitious business that wants to operate more intelligently.
Why We Do It
We operate on three simple convictions:
Data shouldn’t be hard. It should be the seed from which your next big breakthrough grows. Which is why we call our platform Sprout.

Max Attard is a data and automation engineer specialising in end-to-end data systems for operational businesses:
• Degree in Physics
• Technical training with IBM
• Building enterprise data systems across UK startups and US tech firms
• Leading international teams developing AI and automation solutions
I grew up in the North West of England where my family run a fabric manufacturing business in Burnley. From an early age I learnt how owner-led businesses operate, how they grow and how they depend on the people who work there.
That experience stayed with me as I moved into the technology world.
From my career I developed a distinctive ability to both build high-quality, end-to-end data products and deliver engaging training and communications to develop data culture across a business. I became fascinated about moving the needle and finding the levers that deliver the most commercial impact.
Over the years I have designed product analysis models that increased revenue by 160%, built automations that removed hundreds of hours of manual work every month, and developed data strategies that helped organisations become faster, more aligned, and more efficient.
Alongside the technical work, I’ve always been passionate about helping teams feel confident using data. In one project, I even created an escape-room style workshop that taught an entire company of varying technical levels how to incorporate AI tools into their everyday workflows.
DataSeed was born from wanting to take those skills and help SME to use data and grow bigger and better in 2026. Because the next generation of great companies will be built on intelligence.
